The History
35 Years Of Dreaming
My dad, Morgan Pillay, worked for a clothing manufacturing company in JHB for 35 years. Then after a short while living in Swaziland his dream of opening a family business was in reach. He took his pension payout and started Morgan Pillay clothing manufacturers with my mom by his side at the end of 2005. We manufactured for Marion Reed and Scottish Knitwear Group - Pringle. As the business started to grow, my dad unexpectedly died in Aug 2006. My mom took over the reigns of the then 15 employees and kept on with my dad’s dream. I joined my mom in the family business in 2007, we have since grown the company to over 300 employees. We have worked with some amazing clients in the retail industry, from Foschini's, Mr Price, Milady’s, Edgars & Edcon group to Converse, Dickies and many more! We ventured into the corporate wear market and have manufactured uniforms for Kulula, Mango Airlines, SAA, SAPS, SANBS, Anglo, Impala mines and so much more! We are VF corp & qima certified.
